Hugh holds a Bachelor of Business degree (majoring in Accounting), a Graduate Diploma of Advanced Accounting, a Masters degree in Commerce from Queensland University of Technology and is an associate member of the Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants. He worked as an accountant in professional service firms and commercial organisations for over 10 years. He established MW Recruitment in 2001 and has steadily grown the firm with his business partner Andrew McNamara.

Hugh brings valuable insights into the back-office functions of SMEs, whether they be professional service firms or industry companies. He works with clients to identify opportunities to increase their profitability through a process of business review, Import Contract Services, and the provision of integrated finance and hosted IT systems.

Throughout his career Hugh has woven a network from school days, university, professional contacts, sporting clubs, and community/charity in regional and city areas. His keen interest in relationship building and delivering timely committed client service ensures Engage1 is well placed to understand and interpret the needs of businesses.

Family and friendship experiences have taught Hugh that honesty and work ethic bring success, and he therefore tries to apply this in the business place.
